The project, A Blooming Plant, is a high-priority volunteering initiative funded by the European Solidarity Corps program with the number 101092983 and a duration of 36 months, starting on January 1, 2023. This project, designed by the Turkish organization ONKOSEV in collaboration with partners such as Intercultural Association For All (Portugal), the Mediterranean Forum For Social Development (Morocco), the Student-Youth Council (Georgia), and the Association for Sustainable Development SFERA (Macedonia), aims to assist young people with cancer who are badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic
Focusing on increasing knowledge and skills related to healthy lifestyles for cancer patients during and after treatment, the project seeks to enhance cooperation between organizations from participating countries
Inform local community especially families of cancer patients, children and youth who has challenges linked with geographical remoteness correctly about healthy lifestyles during the cancer treatment by improving capacity of the volunteers and enable them sharing their skills and experiences with local environment
Enable volunteers work with cancer patients, their families and local organizations, create an environment
Build inclusive society by bridging cancer patients, families with local community and local/national and international
Enhance involvement of families, youth and non-governmental organizations in the process of fighting cancer, strengthen platform and networks that are working with cancer patients, and contribute studies and projects on creating a social awareness and awareness-raising on cancer
Create platforms in order to allow sharing experiences and good practices at local, national and international level and advocate
